Looking over my bookshelf yesterday, I noticed that some of my books had prices that were all over the map. For example, The Devil Left Him was $3.99 for Kindle, $6.99 for Paperback. Last Tomorrow was 5.99 for paperback. The Right of Revolution was $2.99 for Kindle. I think at the time, I was testing to see what priced… Read More KDP-Amazon Price Reduction

His new film about animated dogs on a giant trash island near Japan is cultural appropriation, you see. twitter.com/i/moments/976653304972288000 This jibes entirely with my earlier prediction: “Dogs” will get nominated for this, and then lose to something Italian that gets a limited release in New York for a week. Because fuck Wes Anderson, that’s why.
Jack White Concert for ‘Boarding House Reach’ Album Release to Be Live-Streamed on Twitter http://variety.com/2018/digital/news/jack-white-twitter-album-release-live-stream-1202732449/ — Read on variety.com/2018/digital/news/jack-white-twitter-album-release-live-stream-1202732449/ This is interesting because: A) I’d been wondering when Jack’s next album would drop B) Live-streaming a concert gets around bootleggers and uses paid customers to create an event for non-paying customers.

I had the opportunity to meet Jim a few years ago at a reading in a pub. I bought a copy of his collection, After Work, which he signed to “the American who looks like a Paddy” (guilty – I’ve practically the map of Ireland painted on my face). Normally I quote Yeats this day, but… Read More A St. Patrick’s Day Poem by Jim Brennan
