Publication Date is August 11th. It will be available in both ebook and paper back. It’s my first mystery story, and it’s set in the fantasy world, Cevalon, that the Tygg and Drea stories also belong to.

This has been a project long in the works. I started it years ago, set it aside, rediscovered it sometime last year, and published a draft form of it on Unnamed Journal (Issues 31-33, to be specific, check the sidebar for links). This resulted in a 10-chapter novella. The initial plan was for it to be published this past spring, in that format.

But when I started working on “final edits” several things became clear to me, which was that the story in it’s current form was barebones, almost too minimalist in its structure. First-person narration allows for this, as the narrator only knows what he knows, but the whole point of a mystery is for him to uncover things. I decided the story needed more.

The version about to go live on Amazon is a 14-chapter version, with a different ending. I might make the 10-chapter version available on our Patreon, but I think this version is better. As always, thanks for your support!
